Maker to Maker: Building and Sustaining a Creative Practice
This is a free, open conversation. A one to two hours on Zoom talking about building and sustaining a creative career. Why is this free? I am not interested in monetizing my experience through social media or a blog paywall. I prefer sharing my knowledge freely with fellow creatives. I received excellent advice from mentors willing to help me for free. I am forever grateful, and I want to pay it forward. Too many coaches, mentors, and masterclasses charge high fees while offering little real-world experience focusing on maximizing profits. For me, it’s about creating meaningful work and building a reputation based on artistry and integrity because financial success follows when you focus on craft and consistency.
I’ve been running an independent creative studio since 2000, navigating all the highs and lows that come with it. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have experience and lessons learned from years of making things, adapting, and figuring it out along the way. This AMA conversation is a way to share what I’ve discovered. Every time, I’ve mentored students, creatives, and business owners. I’ve learned something unexpected.
At some point, I may write a book or put together a workshop on sustaining a lifelong creative practice. But right now, my happiness is in the making, and I want to help others during my journey. If this conversation sounds like something you’d benefit from, you’re welcome to join. It’s free, but space is limited.
Looking forward to connecting.
